Our Shells

All of our US M1 helmet shells come from European military surplus. Produced between 1958 and 1980, they faithfully reproduce the characteristics of the 1944 American models, including the rear rim seam and swivel loops. These helmets equipped several European armies, offering an authentic alternative to the original US M1 helmet shell.

Origin & Manufacturing

Most of our US M1 helmets come from Austrian and Belgian military surplus. These European helmets, faithful replicas of American models, were produced and used between 1958 and 1980 by various armies.
Made of sturdy steel, they sometimes show signs of wear related to their military use. It is important not to confuse them with recent reproductions. The shell alone weighs approximately 1.2 kg, without the liner.

After Modification

To faithfully reproduce American helmets from World War II, each helmet is repainted and textured with a "cork" finish. This specific texture, typical of US M1 helmets of the time, served to reduce glare and improve stealth in the field.
Our Vietnam-style helmets, on the other hand, feature a smooth finish without this texture. Our finishing method was developed from careful studies of original US M1 helmets.

Your Badges & Markings

Proudly display your US M1 helmet's affiliation with a specific division, regiment, or unit with the addition of hand-painted ranks and insignia.
These markings are made on the different sides of the helmet, in accordance with historical practices observed during the Second World War.
If the insignia or symbol you are looking for is not offered among our options, contact us: we will do our best to integrate your personalized marking when creating your US M1 helmet.
