Exclusive Mon Casque M1 reproduction of the M1 helmet chinstrap buckle for the US M1 helmet , corresponding to the historical model from the first productions from 1941 to the end of 1943.

  • Distinctive Feature: This buckle is of the "Raised Bar" type, also known as Type 1 or Early . The central bars of the buckle are raised compared to the sides.
  • Authentic Materials: Made from solid brass , it is treated with a chemically oxidized blackened finish (not painted) to simulate the original appearance, in accordance with Quartermaster Corps specifications.
  • Historical Context: This model was standard on the first batches of M1 helmets. Its gradual replacement by the flat buckle began in late 1942/early 1943.
  • Mounting: Designed to be attached to the end hook of the OD#3 cotton chin strap.
