Helmet cover Vietnam Helmet

Texture Vietnam Helmet

Chinstrap Vietnam Helmet
The US M1 Vietnam helmet was used by American troops during the Vietnam War. Recognizable thanks to its typical Mitchell reversible helmet cover of the conflict, the US Vietnam helmet is an essential element of the US Army uniform between 1959 and 1975.
The basic pack includes the complete helmet as well as a reproduction Mitchell type helmet cover, typical of the helmets worn by American soldiers during the Vietnam War. An elastic is also provided in the basic pack.
The "Basic Pack" includes the following accessories:
Elastic
The elastic on the helmet allows for various items to be attached to the helmet's perimeter. This method is often used by soldiers to gain quick access to various accessories and prevent them from getting wet in flooded areas.
Cleaning solvent
Original empty bottle of "CLEANING COMPOUND SOLVENT" solvent dated March 1967 for cleaning small arms. Manufactured by "OCTOGON PROCESS INC." Can be worn on helmet elastic.
Heating ration
Used to heat combat rations in the field. Original model dated 1970, still sealed and manufactured by the firm "CAN-TITE RUBBER CORPORATION". Can be worn on the helmet elastic.
Cleaning brush
US-made brush designed for cleaning small arms, including the US Army's standard issue M-16 assault rifle during the Vietnam War. Can be carried in helmet cover openings.
Can opener
Original P-38 model can opener, used to open cans in the field. Often seen worn on the helmet for quick access in the field. Can be placed on the helmet elastic.
Death card
Reproduction of the soft cardboard "Death Card," often seen worn on the helmets of American troops during the Vietnam War.
