Painting M1 Paratrooper Shell

This paratrooper version is painted with a paint based on the shade used by the US army between 1936 and 1944. Being of a matte nature, it will tend to become satin over time and wear, just like original US M1 helmets.

Texture M1 Paratrooper Shell

The shell of the M1 paratrooper helmet is covered in a texture referred to as "cork" in order to be as close as possible to the vintage models. This coating was used to break up the soldier's silhouette and reduce sun glare.

M1 Paratrooper Shell

The M1 helmet shell was a crucial item for American paratroopers during World War II, providing protection from debris, sun and rain. In addition to its protective function, it was also used in everyday life, serving as a basin for shaving or even as a pot when supplies were scarce.
