Vietnam “Point Man” – LIMITED EDITION

During the Vietnam War, the Point Man was the first man in a patrol, wearing the distinctive steel M1 helmet. His Mitchell helmet cover, blending green and brown tones, aimed to camouflage him in the dense jungle. This equipment, simple yet functional, embodied the reality of the Vietnam conflict, with the helmet symbolizing both physical protection and adaptation to the hostile environment. Thus, the Point Man was not only a crucial player in the field but also a tangible reflection of the war's history.

A bit of history

In 1960s America, factories restarted production of M1 shells to meet the needs of the Vietnam conflict. Although modernized, the design remained faithful to that of World War II. It featured a more matte paint job and simplified finishes, but still retained the same iconic shape that accompanied a new generation of soldiers into the hostile terrain of Southeast Asia.
