The mythical US M1 WW2 helmet of the American paratrooper units. Its legendary silhouette symbolizes the US paratrooper throughout the Second World War until 1985.

Shell

M1 Paratrooper US WW2 helmet shell made of a postwar original Austrian steel helmet produced between 1975 and 1990. Rear seam and welded fixed loops. Reproduction of OD#3 heavy helmet chinstraps. Repainted in Olive Drab 7, the shade used by the US army between 1936 and 1944. The shell has a granular coating thanks to the addition of cork during the painting process.

Replica Liner

Recent plastic reproduction of the M1-style liner. Similar to the US M1 model with a headband, front eyelet, and brown faux leather chin strap. Modified with added A Yokes to secure the leather chin cup.

Fiber Liner

Compressed fiber M1-style surplus liner from Belgian origin (ABL). With headband, brown leather chin strap, and neck band. Also features the typical front eyelet of American liners. Modified with added A Yokes to hold the leather chin cup

M1 Paratrooper Helmet

The M1 helmet is a crucial component for paratroopers. It shields them from debris, sunlight, and rain. In everyday life, it serves as a basin for shaving or a cooking pot in difficult times.

  • M1 Paratrooper Helmet paint

This paratrooper helmet is painted using a paint based on the shade used by the American army between 1936 and 1944. It has a matte finish that will tend to become satin with time and wear, just like the original helmets.

  • M1 Paratrooper Helmet texture

The M1 paratrooper helmet is coated with a "cork" texture to closely match the original models. This coating was used to break up the soldier's silhouette and reduce sun glare.

  • M1 Paratrooper Helmet chin strap

The helmet chin strap is a paratrooper reproduction made by Mon Casque M1 with woven strap copied from the original model. It also has snap buttons at the ends for attachment to the liner. The metal hardware is post-war military issue.
