Reproduction of the shoulder patch worn by the men of the 101st Airborne Division. Famous airborne division parachuted in Normandy and Holland, which fought in the Ardennes to German territory.
This reproduction 101st Airborne Division patch is worn on the left shoulder of the uniform, between 1.5cm and 2.5cm from the shoulder seam. Membership of a previous unit could be worn on the right shoulder. Divisional insignia patches were worn by almost all American troops during the Normandy landings. But it was not uncommon to see the uniforms without any division patches as the war progressed.
