Texture "Battle Battered" 327th GIR 2nd Bn NCO
Chinstrap "Battle Battered" 327th GIR 2nd Bn NCO
A faithful reproduction of an M1 helmet that belonged to a non-commissioned officer of the 327th Glider Infantry Regiment, 2nd Battalion, a unit of the 101st Airborne Division. Restored and patinated by Mon Casque M1, this "Battle Battered" example evokes the helmets worn by time and combat, worn during the final stages of the conflict in Europe. Every detail, paint, markings, and wear, has been recreated by hand to reproduce the authentic appearance of a field helmet.
Sold complete with a 1960s Dutch army fiber liner, an early wartime helmet chinstrap with a raised bar, and a reproduction leather chinstrap stamped with the "HAGERSTOWN LEATHER COMPANY" mark. It has been weathered for a field effect.
