Reproduction of the "Woodland" type helmet cover for US M1 Vietnam or post war helmet. Made of strong canvas, this helmet cover can be worn with Woodland or brown camo. It is held on the helmet using the folded flaps between the under helmet and the shell. You can add a rubber band around the edge to fix items. It also has reinforced slots for adding natural camouflage (branches, leaves, etc.) It bears the markings:

In 1960s America, factories restarted production of M1 shells to meet the needs of the Vietnam conflict. Although modernized, the design remained faithful to that of World War II. It featured a more matte paint job and simplified finishes, but still retained the same iconic shape that accompanied a new generation of soldiers into the hostile terrain of Southeast Asia.
