This reproduction 82nd Airborne Division patch is worn on the left shoulder of the uniform, between 1.5cm and 2.5cm from the shoulder seam. Membership of a previous unit could be worn on the right shoulder. Divisional patches were worn by almost all American troops during the Normandy landings. But it was not uncommon to see the uniforms without any division patches as the war progressed.
