About

Shell

Austrian-made M1 infantry steel helmet shell, originally produced between 1975 and 1990 in the style of the US WWII helmet. Features a rear-seam and swivel loops. Fitted with reproduction OD#3 chinstraps. Repainted in Olive Drab 7, the shade used by the U.S. Army from 1936 to 1944. The shell has a textured finish, achieved by adding cork to the paint

Liner Reproduction

This is a modern plastic reproduction of the M1-style helmet liner, closely resembling the US M1 helmet. It comes equipped with a sweatband, front grommet, and a brown faux leather chinstrap, just like the original.

Liner Fiber

This surplus liner for the M1 helmet is made of compressed fiber built for the Belgian army (ABL). It includes a headband, or sweat-band, as well as a brown leather chinstrap and neck band. Additionally, it features the characteristic front eyelet found on American liners.

Painting M1 Infantry Helmet Swivel Loops

The M1 infantry helmet is typically painted with a shade of paint that matches the US army's color from 1936 to 1944. The paint has a matte finish that gradually becomes dull over time, providing an authentic, weathered appearance, similar to the original helmets.

Texture M1 Infantry Helmet Swivel Loops

The M1 infantry helmet shell was coated with a cork texture that served both practical and aesthetic purposes. The texture broke up the soldier's silhouette and reduced sun glare, providing camouflage and protection. The cork is applied with the paint, making it an integral part of the helmet's design.

Chinstrap M1 Infantry Helmet Swivel Loops

The M1 helmet's chinstrap is a replica made by Mon Casque M1, featuring a woven strap that accurately resembles the original. Although the metal buckles used in the chinstrap were produced after the war, they still provide a secure fastening to the helmet and contribute to its durability.

A bit of history

In this American factory, thousands of M1 helmets were pressed, inspected, and painted to equip the Allied forces. A symbol of American industrial ingenuity, the M1 helmet was mass-produced starting in 1941, combining manganese steel and technical innovation. This video demonstrates the intensity of the war effort mobilized on American soil.
