Stahlhelm M42

The German M42 helmet, introduced in 1942, brought significant changes compared with its predecessors, the M35 and M40. Its straight, unrolled edge, distinct from earlier models, simplified production while creating a characteristic flared brim. The M42 also adopted hot stamping, which was faster but gave a slightly lower quality of finish, in response to wartime production demands.
