About

Vietnam-type US infantry M1 steel helmet shell of Austrian origin, produced between 1950 and 1990. Rear rim seam and swivel loops. Reproduction Vietnam-type OD#7 steel helmet chinstraps. Repainted in Olive Drab 7, the shade used by the US Army between 1936 and 1944. The shell has no textured finish and remains smooth.

Surplus compressed-fibre "Helmet Liner Ground Troops Type 1" liner, made in the USA between 1975 and 1980. With sweatband and Vietnam-era three-point neckband.

All our helmet shells are made of steel and come from military surplus stock. Some of them are more than 50 years old. They may show signs of use and ageing due to storage. Although they have been repainted and refurbished, some evidence of their past use remains visible.

The liner is one size, but is adjustable in depth and head circumference.

This Vietnam-type complete helmet is painted with a paint based on the shade used by the US Army between 1936 and 1944. Matt by nature, it will tend to take on a satin sheen with time and wear, just like original helmets.

Chinstrap Vietnam - LIMITED EDITION

The steel helmet chinstrap is a Vietnam-type reproduction made by Mon Casque M1 with woven webbing copied from the period model. The metal hardware is original post-war military issue.
