About

Steel helmet shell of Austrian origin, with a rear rim seam and swivel chinstrap loops, repainted in matt OD (Olive Drab). The helmet is fitted with a pair of reproduction Vietnam-type paratrooper OD#7 chinstraps.

Original German fibre liner reassembled as a Vietnam paratrooper version, with the components typical of early models (suspension, headband, neckband). The neckband is original, dated 1967, and the headband is dated 1966. It has its original fabric chin cup marked "US".

This Vietnam-type complete helmet is painted with a paint based on the shade used by the US Army from 1942. Matt by nature, it will tend to take on a satin sheen with time and wear, just like original helmets.

The Vietnam-type M1 paratrooper steel helmet is sold with an original early-pattern "Mitchell" helmet cover dated 1965.

Chinstrap Vietnam Paratrooper - LIMITED EDITION III

The steel helmet chinstrap is a Mon Casque M1 reproduction made with Australian webbing from the 1960s. It also has the snaps intended to be fastened inside the liner.
