Reproduction of the US M1-C helmet as used by a non-commissioned officer (NCO) of the 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR) of the 101st Airborne Division, specifically configured for Operation Market Garden in September 1944.
The shell is fitted with a small-mesh net and a reproduction first aid kit, adding to its field realism. Inside, the liner is a post-war fiber Westinghouse model, fitted with a fabric chin cup attached to the liner. This helmet is a faithful historical representation of the equipment worn by American airborne troops in the Netherlands.
