Original interior suspension kit for M1 Vietnam and post-war helmet liners dated 1987. It features a disc attachment system as opposed to the rivets and A-Washers. This suspension system is compatible with the "Liner Ground Troops Type 1." It's a new model still in its original packaging and carries the following marking on its inner face:

In 1960s America, factories restarted production of M1 shells to meet the needs of the Vietnam conflict. Although modernized, the design remained faithful to that of World War II. It featured a more matte paint job and simplified finishes, but still retained the same iconic shape that accompanied a new generation of soldiers into the hostile terrain of Southeast Asia.
